Individual Identification Card (IIC) for Adult-Use Cannabis Employees

The IIC is a mandatory credential for all individuals employed in licensed adult-use cannabis establishments in Maine.

Online Application: Complete the electronic application through the OCP's online portal for faster processing.
Required Documentation: Provide a high-resolution photograph and other required personal information.
Criminal Background Check: Schedule and complete a fingerprinting appointment with IdentoGO for a mandatory criminal history check.
Submission and Fee: Submit the completed application and pay the required fee. The OCP will review your application and mail your IIC upon approval.

The RIC is part of Maine's Medical Use of Marijuana Program. The requirements for obtaining this card differ for patients and caregivers.

Optional: While not mandatory, patients may obtain an RIC after receiving a certification from a licensed physician.

Physician Certification: Obtain a medical cannabis certification from a licensed Maine physician.
